About us
Working Together to Help the Next Generation
The Rainbow Youth Centre was originally founded by Martin Needham our current Chief Executive Officer, to service a significant hole that exists in the child support framework. We know personally what it feels like to have a child struggle with mental health issues, without help from those who you would expect to be there when you need help the most.
The Rainbow Youth Centre acts as a hub for parents and young members of the LGBTQI+ community, a place that offers help, support, a place that is safe for young members of the LGBTQI community to be themselves, find a friend, ask questions and discover that they are not alone and that there is help.
We believe that all LGBTQ+ young people should be able to celebrate who they are, what makes them unique, and why they matter. We provide a safe, inclusive, affirming environment where young people can connect with peers, build leadership skills, and take care of their mental and physical health. Open to people 18 and under, our in-person and virtual programs are all free and confidential.
The Centre is a true home with open doors, where you can drop in to meet and make friends, and connect with those who share common experiences
